We are seeking two dynamic and enthusiastic Activities Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with older adults and capable of facilitating and evaluating a variety of programs and activities.
What you will be doing:
- Facilitate, evaluate, and promote a wide variety of functional daily/monthly in-person and virtual activities/programs in conjunction with the Activities Director.
- Greet members when entering activity/program.
- Ensure all activity rooms are set up, torn down and organized on a daily basis.
- Welcome the presenter and set up any audio-visual equipment as needed.
- Create the following promotional items: flyers, program descriptions in written form for newsletter, daily/monthly calendars and scrolling digital.
- Responsible for data entry in My Senior Center, My Active Center, and record keeping.
- Engage and create positive relationships with members and facilitators.
Assist with member tours as needed.
What you need:
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to relate well to older adults.
- Maintains friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Possess knowledge of basic computer skills, Microsoft Office
- High School diploma or GED required
- Two years of job-related experience in activity programming preferred.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
Required Hours:
- Morning position -- 8am -- 1pm Monday -- Friday with rotating Saturdays 8 -- 12pm, additional availability as needed to assist in covering vacation, sick leave and special events and programming.
Afternoon position -- 2pm -- 7pm Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays 8 -- 12pm, additional availability as needed to assist in covering vacation, sick leave and special events and programming.
