Job Description Summary
The Test Engineer will perform a wide range of quality control and ensure proper wiring and functional operation of products and sub systems on MV & LV products fabricated by GE Vernova.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform testing of MV & LV electrical equipment as per test instructions
Perform troubleshooting activities to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implement corrective actions on both hardware and software
Determine how electrical test cells should be configured for testing based on the test procedures provided
Set up a wide variety of test equipment and data acquisition systems in support of quality testing
Adhere to all GE Electrical Safety processes and use PPE equipment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or minimum 5 years of related industry experience).
Experience with trouble shooting and debugging electrical software programs
Familiar with the use of test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, metering etc.
Desired Characteristics
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment as a team member and lead testing efforts when required.
Working experience with test equipment
Highly proficient with computer software and ethernet communications.
Familiar with Function Block based programming language
Familiar with component testing and troubleshooting.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
