PwC US Tax LLP Manager, State and Local Tax (Multiple Positions) in Florham Park, New Jersey
Manager, State and Local Tax (Multiple Positions), PwC US Tax LLP, Florham Park, NJ. Provide state and local tax advice and support to clients. Assist companies with their tax planning and accounting needs by recommending solutions that support their business objectives and ensuring their filing positions are consistent with the states’ applicable tax laws and rules. Supervise staff, monitor workloads, and provide feedback in a timely manner. Support client with business issues related to business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.Certification(s) required: Active CPA, Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar, or foreign equivalent. Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following: •Consulting with clients on VAT taxation, global VAT strategies, recovery of VAT taxes, audit defense, and resolution of global technical VAT taxation issues;•Supporting clients in at least one of the following areas: FAS 5, reverse audits, tax planning, consulting, compliance, automation, mergers and acquisitions, or controversy and audit defense;•Advising on process improvements and technology implementation with respect to indirect taxes, including Sales & Use, VAT, or Excise taxes; and•Working with large, complex data sets and leveraging data visualization tools to build models and provide insights to clients.80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.
