Toadflax Nursery is the leading landscape design company in Upstate, NY, and we are searching for a full-time Landscape Designer, Estimator and Sales professional to join our team. This position will be involved in all aspects of project development and design including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, construction documents/observation, and project administration.Our ideal candidate will have strong design, graphics, computer, and technical skills as well as the desire and ability to work on multiple Landscape design projects.Expectations:•Multiple-project management/leadership.•Team-based development of creative technical solutions to complex design problems•Preparation, coordination, and completion of construction document packages.•Management of team production of construction details, specifications, drawing sets, presentation packages as they support the design approach.•Mentorship and collaboration with installation team staff.•Carry out technical and administrative assignments.•Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping and construction goals.•Evaluation and selection of materials and products.•Travel to meetings and job sites as needed.Qualifications:•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.•Must be creative, organized, personable and have some construction knowledge.•An open mind and passion for new trends in design fields and dedication to knowledge-based creations.•Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.•Demonstrate excellence in AutoCAD.•Demonstrate excellence in preliminary, conceptual and schematic design phases to further develop construction documents.•Expertise in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from principals, clients, and subcontractors.•Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and governmental regulations.Benefits:•Simple IRA•401(k) matching•Employee discount•Paid time off•Paid HolidaysSchedule:•Monday to Friday•Full-Time*Salary based on experience.
