Army Installation Management Command Custodial Worker NA-02 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Summary This position is located at the Davidson Fitness Center, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Weekly reviews and lists sent to management starting 3 June 2024; additional lists may be sent at management request. Responsibilities Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment. Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities. Cleans, and dusts assigned areas. Empties trash. May make beds and changes linen. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Moves heavy furniture. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties. Works independently under general supervision to accomplish assigned work. Exposed to dirt and disagreeable odors, vibration from use of heavy equipment, and to skin irritations from cleaning solutions. Care is required when working on ladders and when moving heavy furniture and using heavy equipment. Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must have knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade. Must be able to keep the assigned work area neat and clean. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
