Summary This position is located at the National Security Agency (NSA-CWF) Activities Gyms and Sauna. Responsibilities Serves as a Fitness Program Specialist and works for the Installation Fitness Program Manager. Implements safe and effective fitness programs ensuring diversity and appropriateness to post and individual needs. Conducts fitness classes based on customer demand (i.e. circuit weight training and cardiovascular training). Understands proper layout of fitness equipment and advises on new procurement to meet standards and customer demands Stays abreast of current trends in fitness equipment and delivery techniques. Walks the fitness rooms to ensure safe and effective training is conducted. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability in the delivery of safe and effective fitness programs. This experience must demonstrate skill in conducting fitness programs for a diverse population understanding the various health risks contained therein. Has the knowledge of and ability to apply the principles, methods and techniques in an individual or group setting. Or Successful completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology. Highly Preferred: Certification in Specialized Program Instructor Areas i.e. Individualized Fitness Assessment, Benefits of Exercise, and Group Exercise. *Those candidates who meet all of the highly preferred criteria will be referred to management first. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
