Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Auditor Technician plays a pivotal role in maintaining PCI Group’s commitment to excellence. This position is responsible for auditing, inspecting, and documenting the internal processes within the Inserting department. The primary objective is to ensure that all products meet our stringent quality standards, and that customers receive flawless output with no variations, defects, or missing components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of quality assurance principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to drive continuous improvement.

Some General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of operator processes and procedures and perform visual inspections of printed & inserted output from designated machines while ensuring product meets quality & accuracy of specs during their shift.

  • Evaluate scope of job, interpret and understand customer requirements on job work ticket including all materials to be used.

  • Cease production on all non-conforming defects of but not limited to blurry, misplaced/missing print, print on print, duplicate print, missing inserted packages, double stuffed envelopes, missing stock components, missing pages, incorrectly placed outgoing/return addresses.

  • Document rejected material not meeting specifications and mark any/all materials with a red HOLD form and notify supervisors/leads to segregate to HOLD area in department for further review by lead, manager, or customer service rep..

  • Participate in team brainstorming exercises to problem-solve and develop procedures.

  • Identify and communicate areas of improvements for quality control to QA Lead & Quality Assurance Manager.

  • Will comply with all current and future security and compliance requirements.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the QA Lead and/or Quality Assurance Manager.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.; a vocational or technical school diploma or certificate in a related field is preferred.

  • Proficiency in reading and writing English, with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Required background in quality control or quality assurance.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with report writing and preparing professional correspondence is required.

  • The candidate should have a working knowledge of report writing, preparing professional verbal and written correspondences and email.

  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to navigate production software, understand workflow processes, and accurately interpret job tickets.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Every Other Sunday | Thur - Sat 7:00AM - 7:00PM | Sundays depending on volume 8-12 hour shift
