Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Fort Worth, Texas
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Fort Worth, Texas. The role is with a religious organization and involves working in a high-volume invoice environment, handling invoices across 13 companies. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to code invoices accurately. This position will start immediately!
Responsibilities:
• Processing a high volume of invoices and ensuring they are accurately coded
• Using automated OCR to ready soft copies of invoices for verification and approval
• Submitting verified invoices to the manager for approval
• Conducting daily Automated Clearing House (ACH), wire transfers, check runs, and expense audit reviews
• Managing expenses and working on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records and resolving customer credit inquiries
Requirements • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience in coding invoices for appropriate documentation and categorization
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
