How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Through in-depth market knowledge, identify seasonal trends, assortment opportunities and merchandising strategies for areas of responsibility.

  • Collect relevant market and consumer insights for the line development to inform and influence the product creation process-Identification of market trends, pre-sell results and sell-through analysis.

  • Provide qualitative information around trends, colors, materials, graphics, price/value, performance, innovation needs.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external associates and co-workers. Must be able to interface professionally and effectively in group settings. Key partners include Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Planning, Marketing and Sales Teams.

  • Partner with sales to ensure key strategic account objectives are achieved forgiven category.

  • Work with Director of Merchandising to achieve business targets related to revenue growth, profitability, pricing, margin, and style/SKU productivity.

  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views; Give and welcome feedback; Contribute to building a positive team spirit; Put success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Support everyone's efforts to succeed.

  • Passionate about leading, managing and influencing teams while empowering their decision-making, trainings and mentoring for the advancement of their capabilities. You will manage a team of 1-2employees.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 6+ years professional experience including proven track record of Merchandising.

Educational Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of apparel product management, product line merchandising experience with 3 years of apparel experience or related transferable skills

  • Proven experience developing and leading high-performance team

  • Previous experience building/analyzing detailed item/location level retail data- synthesizing into actionable business insights

What we expect you already know:

  • Multi-Channel and Multi Branded experience are preferred.

  • Extensive experience in Multi Calendar Development.

  • Strong and experienced in leadership.

  • Strong Presentation skills and ability to work well within a team-based situation.

  • Strong Reasoning Ability, Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision.

  • A positive team player that is comfortable with leading cross-functional team members to a successful outcome.

  • Ability to utilize retail math skills and analyze sales numbers, profit margins, costing and pricing to develop insights/recommendations based on the analysis.

  • Excellence in all MS Office suite programs; PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and has experience with product line management systems.

Hiring Range :

$84,000.00 USD - $105,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
