Staples Strategic Sourcing Manager for IT Technology in Framingham, Massachusetts

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for leading complex sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and competitive bids as well as establishing contracts and relationships with new suppliers, managing renewals and extensions with existing suppliers, and working with stakeholders to navigate the procure-to-pay process.

  • Supports Staples CIO and digital solutions team as well as other Staples teams purchasing hardware, software, cloud services, or hired services.

  • Responsible for specific projects and contract negotiations to achieve annual sourcing savings targets.

  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to understand and achieve business strategies and objectives.

  • Execute sourcing strategies to provide enhanced value, revenue, total-cost reduction, continuous improvement and achieve savings targets.

  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and contracting process.

  • Lead contract negotiations including new contracts, renewals, and extensions.

  • Manage complex sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and competitive bids.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage the procure-to-pay process.

  • Provide stakeholders with best in class service through the entire sourcing process.

  • Act as liaison between Staples Legal team, Staples Risk team, Staples Privacy team, and Staples Cyber Security team with suppliers and business partners..

  • Proficient in procurement systems – Coupa and/or other procure to pay systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to generate cost reduction savings.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technology role preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a procurement role preferred.
