WANTED: Machine Shop Manager

Job Overview Responsibilities and Duties:

  • In-depth knowledge of the design and development of industrial machinery and components
  • Ability to keep staff on task to meet production deadlines
  • Cleaning machine, tooling and parts
  • Keeping work area clean and safe, following safety procedures to the area
  • Able to readand interpretprints, planning sheets, sketches and other related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills are highly required.
  • Possess skills in Word, Excel, and/or other proprietary software
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Will also assist Machine Operators during high volumes.
  • Entercommands or manually adjustmachine controls to correct malfunctions or out of tolerance machining
  • Stopmachine to change cutting tools in machine spindles
  • Setup machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions such as: cutting, drilling, and milling metal parts, utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machine ability of materials and shop math.
  • Mount, alignand secure tooling attachments and parts on machine
  • Calculateand setmachine controls to position spindle in relationship to part and regulating factors such as cutting depth, speed, and feed

Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

  • CNCMachine operations exp,
  • Demonstrated supervisory/management experience.
  • Schedule management
  • Inventory of critical tools and materials
  • Demonstrated use of measuring equipment and tools
  • Self-starter, Problem solver andTeam player
  • Must be ready, willing and able to continually learn
