Aerotek Maintenance Technician in FRANKLIN PARK, Illinois

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a high-speed manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment, including handling rollers, chemical injection processes, oven heating, and robotic arms for palletizing. The role demands proficiency in managing electrical systems, modifying equipment for upgrades, and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs. Daily tasks include responding to work orders via radio, monitoring chemical processes, and performing mechanical and electrical repairs, including working with voltages up to 480V. The position also involves regular preventive maintenance, full equipment teardowns, and rebuilds.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems

  • Working with 110, 220, and 440 volt systems

  • Handling AC/DC drives and high/low voltage controls

  • Repairing motors (AC/CD, single and three phase)

  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading

  • Preventive maintenance

  • Pneumatics and hydraulics repair

  • PLC troubleshooting

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in FRANKLIN PARK, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a busy manufacturing and warehouse setting with over 75 employees across office and production floors. The facility features various production lines, heavy equipment operation, and an open-door structure with frequent truck movement for loading and unloading. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and occasionally challenging conditions, including exposure to chemicals and moving mechanical parts.
