Robert Half Property Accountant in Franklin, Tennessee
Description We are in search of a Property Accountant to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee. This role involves managing property accounting, utilizing Yardi for various tasks, handling month-end close procedures, preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, processing journal entries, and using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee property accounting operations and ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
• Use Yardi software to manage property-related data and perform relevant accounting tasks.
• Conduct month-end close procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
• Process journal entries and reconcile accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, report generation, and financial modeling.
• Collaborate with other accounting team members and participate in cross-functional projects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in regulations related to property accounting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Requirements • Proficient in Property Accounting
• Familiarity with Yard software
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close processes
• Skilled in Financial Statement Preparation
• Knowledge of General Ledger tasks and functions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
