Actalent Mechanical Engineer in FREDERICK, Maryland
Description:
Our client is a world wide leader in Automated Material Handling Systems. We are looking a Mechanical Engineer to join their U.S. team based in Frederick, MD. The U.S. team is primarily responsible for designing, installing and commissioning automated material conveyers for different libraries across the county. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for helping with the design, installation and commissioning of these conveyers.
This Mechanical Engineer will be doing preventative maintenance and site service for the 75 installs they have throughout New York at various libraries.
They will be troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, servicing the installs at each site, as well working directly with the customer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Need to be fine with traveling from worksite to worksite (out of state and even out of country), handling the customer interaction, and addressing any issues that may arise with any of the systems.
Must have experience working with hand tools and be OK with hands on mechanical work.
Must be fine with working overtime, which is why they will be paid an hourly rate while also being a full time employee.
Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
Experience/exposure to PLC`s is a plus.
