We are seeking individuals who have worked in an industrial/service/sales environment to fill the position of Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator for our Fredericksburg location.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Responsible for assisting and developing environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for Fredericksburg and for the Branch Offices.

  • Responsible for developing and implementing training programs for EH&S training employees both in Fredericksburg and in the Branch Office.

  • Responsible for assisting with internal audits to ensure the effectiveness of the EH&S program.

  • Responsible for researching and updating all legal requirements and relevant laws and regulation forms as they relate to our Management System.

  • Assists with preparation and submits local and state-required environmental and safety-related documentation for Fredericksburg and branches as applicable.

  • Responsible for conducting accident investigations and investigations for near misses or other EH&S incidents and doing the appropriate corrective action follow-up.

  • Responsible for maintenance of Safety Data Sheets for Fredericksburg location and support for branch offices.

  • Organize and facilitate company safety committee meetings ensuring implementation of preventive and corrective measures.

  • Responsible for tracking resource utilization and preparing analysis reports.

  • Responsible for learning and following all applicable procedures and work instructions relating to the Company’s quality and environmental system.

  • Physical attendance at the worksite as required. Some travel is required.

  • Performs all other duties assigned by the Manager.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate’s background will include:

  • High School Diploma required; BS in Business, Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering or equivalent five years’ experience in EH&S field.

  • Two years’ experience in a prior EHS role is required

  • Good communication skills/phone skills required

  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace

  • SAP experience preferred
