About You and this Role

Dowis seeking anAnalytical Operations Leader (AOL)to provide support to our Lab Facilities located inFreeport Plant BwithinDow Texas Operations.

In this role, you will align to the Texas Operations Analytical Organization and Dow's Analytical Center of Excellence. Your focus will be to optimize the effectiveness of analytical resources required for the manufacturing assets across Texas Operations. You will supervise daily activities of the Analytical Operations employees supporting the aligned manufacturing sites and set priorities for the team.

In addition, you will provide analytical solutions, method development and validation, implementation of Most Effective Technology (MET) and improvements to Freeport Plant B lab productivity, as well as, monitor the lab budget to ensure the most cost-competitive analytical services and solutions are being provided. Responsibilities

  • Serves as a role model for Environmental, Health & Safety, share learning, and ensure follow-up on incident investigations.

  • Develops, implements and tracks progress of the Site analytical Strategy.

  • Implements the Analytical Work Process and effective Lab Management Systems.

  • Provides people leadership for analytical roles.

  • Coordinates resources for analytical projects and activities.

  • Provides analytical technology and process chemistry expertise to resolve process, product and analytical problems.

  • Manages analytical prime controllable expenses.

  • Coordinates capital planning and serves as a focal point for procurement of analytical equipment.

  • Serves as focal point for analytical vendors, contract labs and services.

  • Facilitates the identification of opportunities and implementation of improvements.

  • Communicates with business, function, and site roles on development of Service Level Agreements and analytical issues.

  • Participates in continuous improvement of the Analytical Work Process.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in a leadership role within manufacturing (i.e. people leader, project leader, etc.).

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
