Description We are in search of a Patient Registration Representative in the healthcare industry, located in French Camp, California, United States. This role involves interacting with patients, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining a system of clinic appointments.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in detailed conversations with patients and their relatives to gather necessary information
• Input patient details into the hospital system, ensuring all data is complete and accurate
• Verify insurance or Medi-cal coverage by checking insurance ID cards and Medi-cal labels
• Clarify rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to patient registration to patients
• Guide patients to the correct office, clinic, or treatment facility center for services
• Maintain a systematic approach to managing clinic appointments
• Utilize skills in Patient Eligibility, Insurance Verifications, and Medical Insurance Verification to perform job functions effectively. Requirements • Proficient in Patient Eligibility processes and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in Insurance Verifications
• Knowledge and understanding of Medical Insurance Verification
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with healthcare software and electronic health record systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient registration role
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required
• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in a related field is preferred.
