Trinity Health Monitor Tech, Monitor Resource Part Time in Fresno, California

Description:

Reporting to the Lead Monitor Technician*, Monitor Resource Nurse, this position is responsible for continually observing the patient electrocardiographic patterns and accurately recognizing and reporting arrhythmias to patient care staff. In addition, the Monitor Technician may be asked to perform other activities to assist in ensuring the unit maintains an efficient workflow and environment.

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  2. Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course is required upon hire.

  3. Minimum score of eighty percent (80%) on the SAMC entry-level recognition examination within six months of hire is required.

  4. Twelve to eighteen months experience in an acute care setting or successful completion of a medical terminology course are required.

  5. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with medical center staff under routine and stressful situations are required.

  6. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

  7. Previous 12 lead EKG experience is preferred.

Pay Range

$21.00 - $28.4
