Description:

Reporting to the Vice Pres Community Health & Well-Being, Fresno, this position is responsible for linking patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) to medication for addiction treatment and other recovery services to address the opioid crisis. This position supports the Emergency Department (ED) by alerting staff of eligible patients and advising and connecting patients to available recovery services.

Pay Range:

$20.40 - $27.54

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  2. One (1) year of community involvement experience is required.

  3. Comprehensive knowledge of the local recovery and treatment community resources is required.

  4. Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to follow and interpret oral and written instructions are required.

  5. Valid CA driver's license in good standing is required. Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to travel to patient’s homes as needed.

  6. Ability to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently in a fast-paced, dynamic emergency room setting is required. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.

  7. Must be comfortable working and serving in a diverse and inclusive environment, and operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment with clinical supervision where applicable.

  8. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

  9. Certified Addiction Specialist (CAP) certificate is preferred.

  10. Certification as a medical interpreter/translator is preferred.

  11. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is preferred.

  12. Bilingual skills are preferred.
