Job Title: Human Resources Compliance Manager

The Human Resources Compliance Manager (HRCM) is responsible for management of the company’s compliance process as they relate to employee law regulations. The primary function of the HRCM is to stay apprised of all regulatory updates to ensure that the company is in compliance with government rules and regulations at all times. The HRCM will also be responsible for oversight of HR-led initiatives for the company, such as Alternative Work Schedules (AWS), Worker’s Compensation compliance, maintenance of the compliance library, as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with the development and execution of the company’s compliance library
Works with Operations Management to deploy Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) policies and procedures, as needed
Research changes in laws and regulations throughout the U.S.
Responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with EEO-1 requirements.
Responsible for all reporting to government bureaus, such as BLS, OES, and OSHA reporting requirements
Responsible for oversight of Worker’s Compensation rules and regulations, specifically those related to monopolistic states; works closely with Finance personnel to ensure reports are filed in a timely manner
Responsible for management of compliance as it relates to employment law updates; i.e. paid sick leave, paid family leave, minimum wage updates, etc., as well as state-specific employment laws
Responsible for management of compliance as it relates to pandemic-related requirements.
Maintains compliance with all labor law postings as required by government regulations
Works with Legal department personnel to maintain recordkeeping associated with professional insurance renewals
Responsible for oversight of unemployment claim documentation
Reviews job descriptions, as assigned, to ensure duties and responsibilities are in line with company standards
Work closely with the Director of HR to create educational materials regarding compliance and employment law regulations, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education and Experience
College Degree or some college-preferred
HRCI or SHRM Certification preferred
Must have experience with Canadian Law
Must have experience with understanding ways of working with unions
Human Resources or relevant work experience preferred. Knowledge of employment law regulations is required.
Possess strong computer skills and be adept in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Possess excellent organizational/project management skills with close attention to detail
Possess strong written communication skills including proper grammar, spelling, and good overall writing ability
Possess excellent verbal communication skills
Display exemplary work ethic and professionalism, and demonstrate adequate maturity, patience, and a caring attitude
Must be team-oriented with a desire to work and collaborate with other individuals
Must be results-driven
Demonstrate compliance with all department and company policies and procedures
Demonstrate ability to communicate and interface effectively at all levels of the organization, as well as with external contacts
Possess excellent presentation/public speaking skills
Demonstrate strong innovation and problem-solving skills
Overall understanding of employment laws and regulations
OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and hours of work and days vary Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, as needed.
Travel Intermittent travel may be required. Travel will be determined by the needs of the company.

Compensation range: Our compensation range for this position is 50k-60k, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
