Robert Half HR Generalist in Ft Myers, Florida

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing manufacturing company to find a talented Human Resources Generalist for a contract-to-hire position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic organization while gaining long-term career security.

Expectations include but are not limited to the following:

  • Administer full-cycle HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration.

  • Partner with department managers to address workforce needs, including recruitment, workforce development, and employee relations issues.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., OSHA, FMLA, and EEO requirements).

  • Manage payroll workflows for hourly and salaried employees, including timecard tracking for non-exempt employees.

  • Support performance management strategies, provide coaching to leaders and employees, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Update and maintain HRIS systems to ensure accurate employee data.

  • Serve as a direct point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.

    Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing, logistics, or production industries.

  • Broad knowledge of HR functions, including legal compliance, benefits administration, recruitment, and employee relations.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in using HRIS platforms and recruiting tools. Experience with Workday is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
