Job Description:

The Finance Implementation Team Analyst performs needs assessment, gap analysis, and documents business requirements, in support of continued optimization of reporting and data visualizations for central post award and departmental research administration. Collaborates across the enterprise and with peer institutions to help identify reporting and data visualization functionalities to meet business requirements in keeping with industry best practice.

This position collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes raw data to assist with data conversion and cleanup from legacy system to new ERP and supporting systems. Prepares data for leadership and key stakeholders to assist with identifying and implementing solutions that address the comprehensive needs of the research enterprise.

The incumbent participates in end-user and other stakeholder engagement and coordinates user acceptance testing. Assists in training end users and developing end user training materials, as well as translating functional business requirements into reporting and technical design decisions. Supports end users immediately after system go-live.

Expected Salary:

$75,000 - $85,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with a large-scale ERP implementation is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of research administration and financial processes

  • Familiarity with database design principles, documentation, and coding (i.e., SQL, Python)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines

  • Acts as a change agent to identify and champion process improvement
