Job Description:

Position Summary:The Research Administrator II will play a crucial role in supporting the administration of research projects within the Academic Medicine Office. This position involves managing pre- and post-award activities, ensuring compliance with institutional and federal regulations, and providing administrative support to researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of research grant proposals.

  • Manage grant budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with funding agency requirements.

  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.

  • Coordinate with researchers, departmental staff, and external funding agencies.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all research activities and correspondence.

  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory documents and ensure compliance with all institutional, state, and federal regulations.

  • Provide guidance and support to researchers regarding funding opportunities, proposal development, and grant management.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of research policies and procedures.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with experience up to $60,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to interpret and apply grant & contract guidelines and regulations.

Must be able to work independently with demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to details.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel software.
