Job Overview
Working as part of the EPE equipment group, the engineer will be accountable for all aspects of automated equipment used in our manufacturing and new technologies process. Working from proof of concepts development through to achieving production KPI’s - generating all relevant documentation, including validation, and process support. Maintains high level expertise in their field managing risks of new technology and stakeholder commitment while forging and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers. Ongoing support of existing processes including equipment failure mode reduction on legacy equipment. The role will require a proven track record in controls systems engineering.
Responsibilities:
Lead control system design for Industrial Automation equipment from concept to production
Manage and develop the engineering team
Troubleshoot issues and ensure project progress
Ensure technical accuracy and adherence to best practices
Manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines
Provide technical support to Process Engineering and Production
Maintain high quality/compliance standards
Manage external relationships with technology providers/Suppliers
Produce support documentation
Fulfill Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
Research solutions to process problems
What your background should look like:
Engineering degree with 10+ years' experience in control systems
Strong technical background
Self-motivated with decision-making ability
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
Problem-solving ability with cost-effective solutions
Experience in Sysmac Studio and IEC 61131 programming
Proficiency in Eplan for control system design
Knowledge of CE Standards
