Early Intervention Specialist
Job description Early Intervention Specialist identify and serve children who are at risk for developing deficiencies to help prevent further delays and to teach and build new skills to address those delays in development and learning. An interventionist is responsible for providing direct services (60 min per child) in different settings including classroom, home, and center-based programs. Additionally, an early intervention specialist works as a coach and team member to provide developmental and educational strategies to caregivers/teachers; create learning plans for each session and implement developmentally appropriate practices for children that are in line with their IFSP outcomes to improve their sensory and physical ability, cognitive development, and emotional stability. Additional tasks for which interventionists are responsible include taking detailed notes and reporting on child development and progress for each session (to include a brief monthly summary), assisting parents in addressing developmental and behavioral concerns; suggest activities for home and provide accurate information. Additionally, interventionists must participate in case consultation and supervision meetings; communicate with care coordinators and maintain confidentiality. An interventionist must also attend face to face or online training for 10 contact hours per year to maintain ITFS certification.

Minimum education requirement: Bachelors degree in :
