Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Administrative Assistant – Purchasing.

The Administrative Assistant for Purchasing reports to the Purchasing Manager. The primary functions of this position are to provide administrative support to the Purchasing Division and administer the purchasing card program for all Town departments. (This is 50% of the position's responsibilities). This position also manages and restricts Town supply contracts so items on another contract are not purchased. Two additional areas of focus for this position are records management and data management and reporting.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non- Exempt-eligible for overtime compensation.

Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona by hire date.

  • Associates' degree;

  • Three (3) years of administrative experience, purchasing card program administrative experience is preferred;

  • Knowledge of data entry techniques and automated information and electronic records management systems;

  • Solid mathematical aptitude and bill reconciliation experience;

  • Exceptional customer service, and written and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to build positive working relationships within all levels of an organization;

  • Incredible attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities at once;

  • Valid AZ Driver's License.
