POSITION SUMMARYManages and oversees the receipt, distribution, management, and loss control of all Centerproperty and equipment. Maintains expendable inventory levels, re-orders supplies, distributionand loss control.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISIONThe Property Manager is responsible for management of all accountable and expendable propertyacquired and assigned to the Center. Depending upon the size of the Center, the value ofaccountable property ranges from one to three million dollars. The Property Manager is responsiblefor the overall care, custody and control of all Center property, to be accomplished through acombination of coordinating through staff designated as property custodians, establishing propertyacquisition and excess procedures, and implementing effective security and control systems. TheProperty Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships betweenthe Center and the Regional Office to ensure that all property is accurately and completely recordedand tracked in the Governments electronic system and that all unusable property is properlydisposed of within the required guidelines of the Government.

RESPONSIBILITIESo Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.o Manages and oversees the authorized staff and activities of the Center property/logisticsfunctional area.o Interviews, recommends for hire, disciplines, recommends for termination and evaluates theperformance of the employees in the property area. Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner.o Manages and controls of Centers accountable property program through effectivelycoordinating with designated and trained property custodians.o Works directly with the federal Regional Property Officer in the management of non expendableproperty from receiving of new property to the disposition of unusable or no longer neededproperty.This job description includes data that shall not be disclosed outside the Corporation and shall not be duplicated, used ordisclosed - in whole or in part - for any purposes.o Conducts Center-wide training on property procedures.o Participates in weekly Triangle Meeting which involves Finance, Property and Purchasing, toensure prompt correction of vendor issues.o Conducts official annual certification for accountable property.o Ensures the effective control of ordering, warehousing and distribution of expendable property.o Manages the receiving of all goods arriving on Center, ensures the quality and integrity of allrelated paperwork.o Coordinates receiving activities with the Purchasing Department and other Center functionalareas.o Manages and conducts periodic physical inventory of all Center property and reconciles actualinventory against property records.o Maintains and updates required property, equipment and expandable computer inventorysystems.o Manages the receiving, storing and issuing of all Center expendable materials.o May oversee the training activities of students assigned to the Property/Logistics area.o Manages and conducts the redistribution or disposal of surplus government property asdirected by the government.o Ensures compliance with all government regulations and directives as related to propertycontrol.o Utilizes and manages the government excess property acquisition program.o Effectively motivates, empowers and requires staff to perform his/her job responsibilities.Employs sound time-management and delegation skills. Holds staff accountable for producingquality work, develops staff for career progression and disciplines staff that fail to meet goals.o Provides required/supplemental training for new and current employees.o Motivates and manages staff to work effectively, creates a supportive work environment,recognizes staff accomplishments and proactively addresses staff performance concerns.o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.o Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions andbehavior.o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner andcontributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Providesquality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluatesappropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEAssociate of Arts Degree from an accredited school required. Bachelors Degree from an accreditedschool preferred. Experience with Federal Government property and inventory requirements,warehousing and inventory control preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess avalid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements. Requires computerliteracy in word processing and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing,carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or theability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
