Waters-ERA is currently seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate to join our team in Golden, CO as a Senior, Manufacturing Engineer. Primary responsibilities include enabling the successful introduction of new products, optimizing product quality and cost, driving process improvements to realize organizational efficiencies, enhancing master data to enable improved system capabilities, serving as the site's primary continuous improvement (CI) subject matter expert to coach team and lead productivity initiatives.

This hands-on position requires excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, critical thinking as well as a compelling initiative to see the organization succeed. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Production, Quality, and Commercial and reports to the Senior Manager, Engineering and Technical Team.

Responsibilities

Site's primary continuous improvement (CI) subject matter expert to coach team and lead productivity initiatives. Identify and drive continuous improvements of the manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Develop and maintain assembly processes, bills of material, routings, labor standards, and procedures. Improve overall product and process quality, efficiency, and compliance. Ensure successful transition of new products to volume manufacturing through process development and stabilization. Lead cross-functional teams and generate project plans to ensure actions activities are executed on schedule and to budget. Provide routine project updates to management regarding deliverables, constraints, and support required. Develop current and future state value stream maps to illustrate improved manufacturing activities, connections, and flow. Develop advanced process monitoring programs using a variety of multivariate data analysis methods and techniques. Oversee the implementation of new technologies, automation equipment, and analytical instrumentation. Create and execute validation plans to ensure optimal performance of equipment and processes. Provide technical expertise to resolve process and product problems based on sound engineering principles. Champion a physically and mentally safe environment for all coworkers.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering; Advance degree preferred. Minimum of 7 Years of applicable experience. Sound understanding of Lean Production and Six Sigma tools and principles. Six Sigma Green certified. Proven track records in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Established project management skills. PMP certification preferred. Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system. Familiar with Bill of Materials (BoM) and production routings. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drive corrective actions. Environmental methods and associated instrumentation experience and knowledge is desired. F miliarity with ISO 9001, 17025, 17034, 17043, TNI standard, EPA and Standard Methods is desired.
