Our manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician to join their team on 1st shift. This role involves the inspection, installation, and repair of production machinery and equipment within the tool room and maintenance areas. The position also includes building and rebuilding equipment for various manufacturing needs, such as material handling systems, conveyors, mill drives, and press bases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment including mills, presses, conveyors, etc.
• Safely operate equipment such as hand tools, grinders, wheel pullers, torches, pipe threaders, hydraulic jacks, welders, scissor lifts, lathes, forklifts, milling machines, and drill presses.
• Adhere to safety protocols and communicate safety concerns to leadership.
• Perform preventive maintenance and suggest updates to maintenance schedules.
• Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
• Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced team members and mentor apprentices as requested.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Machine Repair or Machine Repair Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion.
• Minimum of two years of machine repair experience.
• Proficient in pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Basic understanding of relevant robotic controls.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
