Location/Division Specific Information:

  • This position is based out of our Grand Island N.Y. site within Bio Production Group.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

  • The candidate will support the production and facilities equipment at the Grand Island Facility. The Facility is a class 2 medical device manufacturer of liquids and dry powder media in clean room environments.

A Day in the Life:

  • The candidate has responsibility for the day to day troubleshooting of production and facilities equipment as well as preventive maintenance and projects to support the Engineering Team.

  • The candidate will have a thoughrough understanding of pneumatics, electromechanical technology, mechanical proficiency and knowledge of automation controls and basic PLC programming knowledge to log onto processors and to load processor and drive programs and parameters.

  • Driving the team daily and providing equipment support through troubleshooting assistance and priority of work orders and preventive maintenance.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • Trade or Technical school diploma.

  • Associate degree in Robotics or Electromechanical Technology is preferred.

·Experience:

  • Required: 3-5 years of exhibited ability as a cGMP maintenance technician in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • 3-5 years with electromechanical experience in a automated environment.

  • Ability to lead a team of highly skilled team members and prioritize the daily workload of the team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Automation/Controls knowledge-Allen-Bradley.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to load PLC and Frequency Drives Programs and parameters.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Practical knowledge of GMPs and working in an SOP/Work Instruction environment.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to aseptically gown and work in a cleanroom environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $29.85–$38.38.
