Polk Mechanical Company is expanding in DFW through a reputation for high performance and outstanding service. Approaching 21 years old, the company is continuing to set new milestones and as a result is adding new staff and raising the expectations of its team. We are looking for an HR Coordinator who will add value and energy to the team. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a must for this position.

Organization Structure and Interfaces:

Reports to: Talent Manager

Primary Interfaces: Current and prospective Polk Mechanical employees

Requirements: Bilingual (English/Spanish), onboarding, new hire orientation, and managing multiple applications

Environment:

  • Location: Corporate office in Grand Prairie, TX

  • Pace: Constant changing priorities and quick turnaround is essential due to customer needs

  • Demographic diversity: Workforce enjoys a wide range of diversification associated with ethnicity, culture, position qualifications, socio-economic background, geographical differences, professional roles and craft positions, etc.

Success Factors:

  • Employee Experience Focused: You will own and define preparation and onboarding for new employees. Collaborate with team members to cultivate employee experience and serve as a main point of contact in the first 90 days of employment. Be a champion of professional development in an employee-centric and customer service-focused culture.

  • Attract Talent: You will assist the talent team in sourcing, screening, and scheduling high-quality candidates for employment opportunities. Building relationships with internal and external candidates using various techniques and strategies. Attending business association, university, alumni, and industry events to represent Polk. Manage and modify the new hire orientation process, and assist with the pre/post-hire process.

  • Detail Focused: Deeply passionate about the details and able to input data and update records accordingly. Will assist in gathering and compiling a variety of information as needed for various HR initiatives and projects. Will possess a sense of urgency and have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once while remaining strong in accuracy.
