Salary Range: $25.67 - $33.41 Hourly Hiring Range: $25.67 - $30.69 Hourly

The Recreation Coordinator II - Youth Sports is responsible for successful management of youth sports leagues, clinics, camps, and partner programs. This person is primarily responsible for the health and success of the following areas: soccer, track and field, volleyball, out of school camps, and partnered programs. This person empowers a team of approximately & part-time staff, and up to 120 program volunteers at any given time to provide positive experiences in sport through thoughtful and individual-based recruitment, training, and ongoing support. This person is also the go to person for families in Greeley and surrounding areas for the specific program areas listed above, ensuring policies and protocols are upheld and prioritize safety and wellbeing of our participants.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree required in Recreation, or a related field required. One to three (1-3) years of recreation program development. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Current certification in Community CPR, First Aid and AED or within 3 months of hire

Preferred Spanish/English bilingual skills. One to three (1-3) years of experience coaching or officiating sports.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the planning and organization of youth sports instruction and sports safety programs. Skills in recruiting, training, supervising, evaluating, motivating employees. Ability to resolve customer complaints and escalated problems. Ability to react effectively to all potential mental, physical, and stressful situations inherent to the duties of a First Responder. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Ability to provide outstanding customer service and get along with coworkers, patrons, and supervisors and interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner. Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities. Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal. Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems. Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
