Central Garden And Pet Corporation Shipping And Receiving Associate (Loading Dock) in Greeley, Colorado
D&D Commodities, a business unit of Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for a Shipping and Receiving Associate (Loading Dock) for for our Greeley, CO location. This role is integral to our production process, requiring a mechanically inclined, safety-conscious individual who can perform essential functions efficiently and effectively under tight schedules and deadlines.
Shift Details: First shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Second shift: Monday thorugh Thursday, 8:30 pm - 7:00 am. Full-time position, with potential for some overtime and weekend shifts (overtime pay).
Location: Greeley, CO
Key Responsibilities: Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Operate forklifts or hand trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving duties. Verify and maintain records for all incoming and outgoing shipments. Track, trace, and update the status of shipments. Pick and assemble customer orders for shipment, ensuring accurate product loading and delivery. Use RF guns to move products within the facility and pick customer orders efficiently. Transport orders from the warehouse to the shipping dock or delivery platforms, ensuring proper staging for delivery. Collaborate with office staff, drivers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
Qualifications: Must be able to lift, move, and stack up to 50 lbs. Able to work closely with other team members on the line or in the area, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, with frequent stooping, squatting, overhead lifting, and walking. Detail oriented with proficiency in counting and basic math skills. Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Minimum Experience & Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1+ years of related warehouse experience in material handling, shipping, receiving, or operations preferred. Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification. 1+ years of previous forklift operation or similar relevant experience preferred. Proficiency in operating material handling machinery, radios, scanners, and general computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) preferred.
Working Conditions: Work environment includes a non-climate-controlled warehouse production facility, with frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, product irritants, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally, tasks may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and amidst moderate noise levels.

Position Information: This position pays $17+ per hour depending on experience.
