About our team:

Within the Strategic Manufacturing Engineering team, you will play a vital role in a comprehensive plan focusing on the standardization of equipment, processes and engineering skillsets across the corporation.

The team also provides expertise for the wider Manufacturing Engineering team. Enabling Raymond to achieve safety, quality and production goals in its Business Plan. About the position:

The Industrial Engineering leader is a critical position within the corporate manufacturing ecosystem. This role focuses on process mastery, team empowerment, problem-solving, strategic alignment and the drive to optimize. The Industrial Engineering leader collaborates closely with the Strategic Manufacturing Engineering Manager to drive operational excellence and innovation. Your duties will include:

  • Standardize the Industrial Engineering tools, processes, and onboarding knowledge across the Manufacturing Engineering department.
  • Ensure the utilization of Industrial Engineering tools and principles across all the Manufacturing Engineering organization (Demand Flow Technology, SPC, Line Design, Line Balance, and Material Flow). May teach others.
  • Ensure that our processes design includes efficient layouts, defined workstations, and material flow paths.
  • Help outline production capacity and proper resources allocation.
  • Serve as the expert to help each site resolve bottlenecks and flow constraints within the outlined processes, when the tactical engineering group isn’t successful.
  • Identify and install key manufacturing processes or enhancements; identify new or alternate manufacturing technologies to increase the factory's cost effectiveness (cost reduction, modernization, ergonomic and quality improvements).
  • Provide consultation, direction and mentoring to less experienced manufacturing engineering staff or contractors.
  • Work on an interdisciplinary basis to lead or participate in projects or programs that require cross-functional expertise.
  • Lead complex and extensive studies of operations, make recommendations for additional processes enhancements and deploys layouts and plans to implement the changes.
  • Provide technical direction and expertise to project team members and management.
  • Identify and implement improvements in corporate business processes and work instructions.

  • Recurrent Sessions: Establishes means to share and engage frequently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and share progress of projects and needs.

  • Visionary Thinking: The Industrial Engineering Leader aligns their team’s efforts with the organization’s strategic vision. They anticipate industry trends, adapt to Industry 4.0, and prioritize sustainability.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering field and a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience with an Industrial Engineering focus is required.

Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
* Understands New Product Introduction processes. * Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems. * Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others. * Familiarity with CAD programs and simulation software. * Proficiency in project planning, execution, and monitoring. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong technical aptitude, analytical problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. * Strategic, creative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated, and critical thinker. * Ability to constructively interface with all levels of the organization.
* Superior attention to detail and standards of quality.
* Ability to manage competing priorities.
* At least 20% of domestic and/or international travel may be required.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $96,352 - $123,337 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education, skill and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
