The Resort at Paws Up is seeking a Landscaping Turf Technician to add to our team. The Landscaping Turf Technician role maintains The Resort at Paws Up lawns in accordance to property and department standards.
The Primary Functions are:
Remove unwanted plants by manual, mechanical, or chemical means inside and adjacent to property lawns.
Identify and control diseased turf to maintain a high level of health and visual appeal with the lawns.
Repair damaged areas of lawn incurred by wildlife or Resort activity.
Work in conjunction with Irrigation Technician to take measurements and identify areas suffering from over or under-watering and correct appropriately.
Use testing methods to determine deficiencies in soil parameters and correct with proper supplements.
Follow fertilizing and core aerating schedules.
Maintain a high level of awareness and attention to detail.
Use safely and respect company tools, vehicles, equipment and report damage or problems to department supervisor.
Perform hand digging, lifting, and physical work where needed.
Operate light maintenance equipment authorized by supervisor.
Clean the maintenance areas daily.
Operate various mowers, string trimmers, and light maintenance equipment.
Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily.
Complete all Landscaping duties as assigned.
Looking for Team Members with:
High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
Previous experience in proper turf care and identification of turf pests and diseases
Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
Valid State Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
