Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) is a fairly new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport solutions never seen before. Together we will work on autonomous solutions that will challenge conventions and take us to the future. With entirely new business models and advanced technology we will meet and exceed expectations from customers and contribute to a society we want to live in. There’s about 400 of us and together we form a team that is stronger than the sum of its parts and is ready to tackle the big challenges we have ahead of us.

The transport industry is facing a transformation and Volvo Autonomous Solutions has the ambition to take a leading role in this transformation. Together with our customers, partners, suppliers, authorities, we want to build the future eco-system of the transport industry. There is an increasing need for transport and movement of goods between different hubs and additional transport solutions will be needed. By leading this transformation and creating alternative transport solutions Volvo Autonomous Solutions will contribute to creating a society we all want to live in.

The Hub to Hub highway segment is one of Volvo Autonomous Solutions top prioritized segments and our current mission is to employ our newest member of our US team. In other words, we are looking for you, our new Commercial Program Manager for the Hub to Hub segment!

What you will do

As our Commercial Program Manager, you will lead the program responsible for the development and implementation of our autonomous hub to hub solutions in the US aiming at delivering unique customer experiences within the logistics domain. In other words, you will:

• Be responsible for driving all areas of the Autonomous Transport Solution and ensure execution of the program deliverables. Work close together with the Solution Sales and Technology functions within Volvo Autonomous Solutions as well as other Volvo Group entities to implement a tailor-made solution.

• Manage our Autonomous Driving autonomous partner to build and integrate different building blocks into our Autonomous Transport Solutions.

• Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. from MarCom, Legal, Purchasing) from conceptualization to full commercial offering.

• Manage required stakeholders (internal or external) at each stage of the implementation project.

• Translate customer needs into business requirements as input to the implementation project.

• Define or/and improve the solution building blocks to facilitate increased solution capabilities and abilities to scale the solution.

• Evaluate and validate customer desirability and business viability for new offerings and solutions.

• Support and lead internal and external governance forums.

Who are you?

In this role, you will have plenty of different activities going on and therefore you need strong project management skills with a high customer focus and a ‘’can do’’ mindset and solutions/service development skills. As you will communicate globally across all levels of the organization, you need to have excellent interpersonal skills combined with a positive attitude and analytical skills. Naturally, you also have an ability to visualize concepts and ideas as we are breaking new ground within the transport area.

We also believe you have:

• Bachelor and/or master’s degree in commercial or technical area

• Track record of leading and driving successful projects

• Good understanding of the US transport industry

• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen

• Demonstrated that you are a team player and that team spirit is important for you
