Connected Solutions is a global organization within Volvo Group focused on creating the services of tomorrow. We work at the forefront of connectivity by collecting and analyzing telematics data from over one million Volvo assets. Consumer Services is the function within Connected Solutions that is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development to production. We are looking for a Software Engineer, who has experience in software testing and seeks to use those skills immediately in real world projects on a team dedicated to adding business value to some of the strongest brands within the automotive and transportation industry.

As a Software Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for formulating test strategy, creating and executing automated and manual functional tests, performing end to end tests, executing load / performance tests, managing the automated test framework, managing load/performance testing framework, managing test data, providing support around automated or load testing issues, defect management and verifying releases in production. This position works in a team centric environment where a culture of innovation allows your input and ideas to become part of the solution.

Main responsibilities:

• Work within project team that delivers a high-quality product in an Agile delivery environment (SCRUM)

• Analyze business requirements and technical design documentation.

• Define appropriate tests scenarios for given requirements

• Review existing test documentation related to change

• Identify and describing appropriate test techniques.

• Design and/or update automated test scripts.

• Manage test data to support manual, automated, load and performance testing.

• Execute manual and/or automated tests and record results.

• Execute and support performance and load tests

• Report defects to designated owner.

• Evaluate and reporting outcome of each test cycle.

• Develop production support documentation.

• Provide support for production issues

• Provide demos on new functionality

• Provide training on new functionality

Who are you?

• 5+ years of automated and manual software testing experience

• 2+ years delivering solutions as a member of an agile team.

• 1+ years of cloud testing experience (AWS experienced preferred)

• 1 year in Telematics testing

• Experience with business and risk analysis

• Experience with performance and load testing

• Experience with problem analysis and resolution

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Experience with Selenium, Jenkins, Python, Ruby, Cucumber, WATIR

• Collaboration skills

• Experience in providing demos and training sessions

• Proficient with SQL

• Proficient with Test Management tools

• Experience with GUI automation testing

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
