Operator I

Location/Division Specific Information

Greenville, NC

How will you make an impact?

Support and maintain aseptic/non-aseptic manufacturing areas. This position will start off as an 8-hour shift position, but will ultimately transition into a 12-hour, 2-2-3 rotating position. The candidate will also need to be flexible to support other shifts as needed.

What will you do?

  • Ensure pharmaceutical products are manufactured in accordance to area SOPs and current cGMP.

  • Verify and document production activities in batch records, logbooks and controlled forms.

  • Operate vial trayloader

  • Filter integrity testing

  • Clean pre and post use change parts and prep for sterilization.

  • Component/commodity prep.

  • General material handling

  • Maintain/clean classified and non-classified areas. This includes but is not limited to the aseptic core.

  • In-process product inspection

  • Participate in the On the Job (OJT) training program, area safety and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

  • Perform other activities as the need arises.

How will you get here?

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent minimally required.

Experience

  • 1 year of regulated manufacturing experience, preferably Pharmaceutical experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Good documentation practices

  • Ability to use a computer

  • Ability and desire to learn

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams comprised of diverse individuals.

  • Ability to manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of 25-50 pounds; occasionally pushing and pulling 50-100+ pounds.

  • Full range of motion in upper and lower extremities.
