Shipping and Receiving Technician - 2nd Shift

Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Technician is responsible for the shipping and receiving functions of the warehouse. This includes picking, packing, processing, and loading customer orders for shipment as well as receiving inbound material. Shipping and Receiving Technicians inventory, build, and stock boxes, cores, pallets, crates, and other shipping material for the shipping process. They may also be responsible for utilizing forklifts to pull and stock material into/from the warehouse in addition to maintaining the warehouse barcoding system. Shipping and Receiving Technicians must know how to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the packing and shipping processes so that production can continue without interruption. They are responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently while shipping quality products based on customer requirements.

  • Understand sales orders and customer requirements to ensure delivery of quality products.
  • Be capable of meeting production demands with resourceful use of raw materials.
  • Promptly report equipment malfunction and necessary repairs to supervisor.
  • Maintain all safety, housekeeping and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain required productivity level at 100% standard.
