Job Summary
The Network Physician is accountable for carrying out clinical and administrative duties, as applicable, in a manner to promote high-quality clinical services and excellence in education and training programs at Beaumont.
Essential Functions
Examine and treat patients, regardless of age or sex, ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Prescribe and administer medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provide counseling regarding personal health and hygiene.
Request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists, as necessary.
Participate in: a. Credentialing b. Periodic assessment of competencies c. Medical audits / Chart audits d. Peer review e. Coding and documentation compliance
Assume role of problem solver for nursing and front office whenever physician guidance is needed.
Participate in recruiting activities on occasion.
Physician will provide appropriate documentation to support codes being billed
Documentation will be completed within 24 hours of a patient visit (>95% to be completed the day of the visit).
Physician will respond timely in completion of insurance forms and certificates of medical necessity.
Physician will participate in ongoing performance improvement efforts of the practice
Physician will participate in “revenue cycle” improvements of the practice
Physician will work meet PQRI and other Quality thresholds.
Complete all clinical documentation, as applicable, in a timely manner consistent with health system, payer and regulatory requirements, if applicable.
Participate in activities related to improving operational and financial performance, quality and patient satisfaction as requested.
Qualifications
Required Doctorate Graduate of approved Medical College
Experience with common office procedures such as skin surgery, cryotherapy, colposcopy, casting and joint injections. Required
LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
CRT-At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown Osteopathic Upon Hire required
