This is a position with global grade 17 Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. You will be mainly accountable for: * Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performs analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. * Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. * Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards. * Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. Qualifications for the role Associates Degree Desired or comparable military technical training with 1 or more years of experience or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments will be considered. A good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking, cyber security, and ABB Symphony Plus Distributed Control System is a plus. NOTE: Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided to instill confidence in providing outstanding field service support. Self-motivated and self-directed to accommodate numerous customer responsibilities. Must be willing to maintain overnight travel of 80%. Process automation work experience. Understanding of systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal. Applicants must speak fluent English and have a legal driver's license. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
