IBM QA Engineer - Storage Systems in Guadalajara, Mexico
Introduction
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing Storage Systems SW, working with AIX, Linux and other open-source technology and tools and cloud environments such as IBM Cloud and AWS.
You will write automated test cases and test the product features to ensure end-to-end quality standards are met.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Understand the test plans laid down for a feature/product
Write and automate tests that cover the scenarios stated in the test plan
Carry out functional, regression, and integration tests.
Raise defects for issues found, work with the development team to narrow down the problem, and verify fixes
Review documentation to ensure it matches the implementation.
Comply with coding practices and quality standards laid down for the product
Communicate effectively with peers and cross-teams to clarify technical details, share ideas, and convey progress
Demo the implementation and incorporate feedback from all stakeholders.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3-5 years of experience as a Function Tester or Software Developer.
Programming in Python, bash.
Linux/AIX operating system knowledge and command line operations.
General understanding of REST APIs.
General understanding of Web GUIs.
General understanding of database operations.
Experience with agile concepts and agile development/testing.
Good communication and presentation skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Test automation with Tekton, Jenkins or Robot.
Experience with System Testing.
Experience with Accessibility Testing.
Linux system administration skill for HW resources and software products including CPU, memory, storage, network, cryptography, KVM, etc.
Knowledge of IBM Z or LinuxONE system and platform management concepts.
