Position Overview:
Direct all phases of construction for special projects: Budget, Forecast and Quality Control. Travel Required.

Position Responsibilities:
Direct construction for special projects: Grant Projects, Upgrades, Residential New Build and other projects as assigned.
Budget construction for special projects.
Calculate and provide monthly/quarterly forecast.
Coordinate Contractors.
Direct personnel, materials, and equipment.
Work with the Warehouse, Purchasing and vendors to coordinate and maintain proper inventory levels through effective planning.
Log pending and completed work and prepares progress reports as required.
Communicate and provide information about problems or potential problems which will or may impede progress.
Travel to and regularly inspect the progress and quality of construction projects performance by system personnel and contractors.
Monitor compliance with terms and conditions of construction contracts with outside firms.
Review invoices from contracting firms, as well as monitors progress, performance, quality and timeliness of construction and proper utilization of Mediacom materials.
Implement quality control checks and monitors safety practices.
Develop and maintain good relations with utilities, general public and government agencies.
Act as a liaison between other departments.
Perform other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
Four years minimum cable construction or project management experience, including progressive management experience.
Ability to read and utilize system maps and fiber documentation.
Knowledge of construction, electrical codes (related state and local codes) and safety precautions.
Knowledge of all construction tools and equipment for aerial and underground construction.
Organizational skills and computer knowledge (excel, word and other programs).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Ability to travel and stay out of town when needed and as required.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required,
