Position Overview: Responsible for developing and implementing high-level marketing plans and strategies focused on achieving budgeted subscriber and revenue goals acquisition, upgrades and retention. Implements and analyzes marketing programs designed to attract and retain customers for all product lines.

    Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall planning and implementation of product-specific strategies.

  • New product development, product enhancements, new product features, pricing and bundling strategies are the primary focus. Works closely with Mediacom Corporate product management staff to ensure local needs are addressed.

  • Develop programs, promotions, budgets, and calendars for optimum growth and retention of products and services to achieve budgeted subscriber and revenue goals within allocated expense structure.

  • Develop and maintain timely and informed relations with other members of the marketing team and organization including customer feedback on current and prospective products/services.

  • Research and understand primary customer needs, cost/benefit tradeoffs of various implementation options, and translate into functional product descriptions.

  • Create and implement plans for selling strategies, competitive analysis, increasing market penetration, maximizing revenue through product sales and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor ongoing competitive landscape and analyzes impact to business.

  • Develop reports and records related to marketing activities and results.

  • Assist with company image both internally with employee group, and externally in the community with current and potential subscribers through government officials, media, local service organizations and other sales and service activities.

  • Attend publicly held meetings and community affairs on behalf of company (council meetings, festivals, etc.) as needed.

  • Ensure all departments have a clear focus on marketing goals as they relate to each function of group.

  • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with other units of the business including customer care, field service, IT, operations, and finance.

  • Perform other duties as required or directed.

    Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.

  • Five to ten years of sales and marketing experience, including previous management experience.

  • Must be goal oriented.

  • Ability to organize, plan, motivate and direct marketing functions and personnel.

  • Ability to relate to vendors, advertising agencies, customers and potential customers as necessary to perform job.

  • Ability to maintain knowledge of current product development and marketing strategies.

  • Willing and able to travel as required.
