Job Title: Mold Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mold Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and starting up heated molding presses to mold and cure company products, ensuring quality and production standards are met. This role requires the ability to read and interpret prints/work orders, basic math skills, and the physical ability to lift 40 lbs.
Responsibilities
Operate and start up heated molding presses to mold and cure company products.
Spray inner surfaces of molds and mandrels with lubricant as required.
Assemble and pre-heat components and mandrels before inserting into the press, when required.
Mold switchgear diaphragm in accordance with SOPs.
Inspect each piece for cosmetic flaws and use light to inspect the interior of workpieces as needed.
Remove flash from the mold and trim workpieces.
Remove molded pieces from the press upon completion of the cycle and remove mandrels from workpieces.
Have the first piece inspected for cosmetics, no-bond, bubbles, etc.
Maintain quality and production standards.
Run tandem operations when scheduled.
Make minor adjustments on presses, such as pressure and temperature.
Follow job SOPs and complete and record production records.
Keep the machine and work area clean.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills

1 year of manufacturing experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
GED/High School Diploma
1-2 years of manufacturing experience

Work Environment
This role is based in an industrial manufacturing plant that is not climate-controlled, meaning it can get hot. The lighting is dim, and the workspace can be demanding. The dress code requires appropriate safety gear and attire suitable for a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HACKETTSTOWN, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.12 - $22.62/hr.
