Liuzzi Cheese is a family run manufacturer of artisan cheeses. We are looking to add a full-time professional driver to our team. Candidate must be a reliable, meticulous, hardworking team player with a good work ethic. Day routes cover the tri-state area for our company based out of Connecticut. The route will consist of multiple stops. A typical week is Monday through Friday but some Saturdays may necessary when they fall before certain holidays. No CDL required. We offer health insurance after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Driver's License
• Driver's Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• 3 years of delivery driving experience
• Physical activity; required to bend down and lift a maximum of 50lbs on a regular basis
• Proficient an electric pallet jack and/or pump jack
• Deliver product to customers with care in respectable and professional manner
• Shifts may start as early as 5 a.m. and hours may vary
• Familiarity with the five boroughs of New York City is valued

Responsibilities:

• Walking around assigned truck before and after route
• Loading and unloading product on assigned truck for the route
• Hand delivering orders
• Driving cautiously and following all rules and regulations
• Unloading cases or product using a hand truck and/or pallet jack
• Cross referencing all products with customer invoice
• Noting any discrepancies, if any and notifying supervisor at the time of delivery
• Unloading all remaining products/pallets upon return
• Cleaning cabin and body of truck after truck is empty
• Fueling up gas tank before parking truck to appropriate area
• Handing driver envelope into office for processing
• Interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner

Connecticut issued driver's license required. Must be in good standing with DMV. Be prepared to supply official driver record and submit to a drug test.

Rate of pay will be determined by previous experience and other factors.

Health Insurance offered after 90 days of employment.

The truck used for deliveries is less than 26,000 pounds.
