Robert Half Accounts Receivable / Billing Clerk in Hamilton Township, New Jersey

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Accounts Receivable Clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the billing process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role is crucial for the financial health of the organization, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Management: Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness.

Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments. Process and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Communication: Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and follow up on outstanding balances. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes.

Reporting: Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports. Provide regular updates on collection status and highlight any issues to management.

Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer files and records. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Requirements • Proven experience working in Accounts Receivable (AR) or similar role within the detail oriented Services industry

• Demonstrated proficiency in billing and invoicing procedures

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial transactions and reporting

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations

• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare financial reports

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to details

• Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and resolving issues

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
