Assistant Farm Manager Wanted - 1 temporary, full-time position one-time occurrence - employment situation that is otherwise permanent, but a temporary event of short duration has created a need for a temporary worker - extraordinary circumstance job available from 04/01/2024 to 03/31/2026 in Hana HI. One position available. Duties will be performed at the location of the employer, Olopawa Farms, 280 Kalo Road, Hana, HI 96713. The employer is Olopawa Farms. Job Duties: Harvesting management of Hawaiian tropical flowers and farming maintenance. Processing and packing of flowers for shipment and maintain inventory. Supervise and train new trainees. Education and Experience: Requires 2 years of experience as Assistant Farm Manager or 2 years of training in floral farm management. Work days: Monday through Friday, hours 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM with one hour off for lunch. This position is located at 280 Kalo Road, Hana, HI 96713. Wage is $31.89/hour for 40 hours per week and overtime, if any, is $47.84/hour. Worker may be provided with lodging if he/she wishes, but, if so, worker will pay rent for the lodging. The rent will be deducted from the wage. The cost of employer provided housing is $1,900 per month. The employer provided housing is optional. Employer guarantees to offer work for the hours equal to at least of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Worker will be paid once every two weeks on a Friday. All deductions from the workers paycheck required by law will be made. Employer will provide workers at no charge or deposit all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job. The worker will be reimbursed in the first workweek for visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). If the worker completes50% of the work contract period the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite at no cost in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. In addition, daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
