Superior Paving LLC Truck Driver in Hancock, Michigan

Superior Paving LLC is seeking experienced and reliable Truck Drivers to join our team.

You'll play a critical role in the transportation of materials and equipment to and from job sites. This position offers opportunities for advancement, the chance to be part of a dynamic team and a SIGN-ON BONUS.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company trucks to transport asphalt, aggregate, equipment, and other materials to and from job sites.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, while driving and operating company vehicles.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure they are in proper working condition, reporting any maintenance issues to supervisors.
  • Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and binders to prevent shifting or spillage during transportation.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers and project managers to plan efficient routes and schedules for deliveries and pickups.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of activities at job sites.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed, providing support to paving crews and other workers.

Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to operate and maintain trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as loading and unloading materials and operating heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by project schedules.
