UTZ Quality Foods Inc Accounts Receivable Credit Specialist in Hanover, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 5001052615200 Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Accounts Receivable Credit Specialist to join our team of Finance professionals in Hanover, PA. The AR Credit Specialist is primarily responsible for the day-to-day processing of key transaction work functions of the Credit Office, such as credit applications, demand letters, aging reports, credit hold and referrals to collection agency. Key Responsibilities Processes credit applications for new DSD & DTW accounts. Processes bankruptcy proof of claim requests. Packages accounts, as directed by Manager, for referral to collection agency. Addresses all inquiries from collection agency. Review collection agency invoices for approval by Manager. Prepares and sends Demand Letters to customers, as approved by Manager. Prepares and presents Credit Hold recommendations for DSD & DTW accounts to Manager. Implements Credit Hold on accounts, as approved by Manager. Develops and maintains tracking reports for: Credit Applications, proof of claim requests, accounts sent demand  letters, accounts placed on credit hold, accounts referred to collection agency and accounts proposed to be written  off. Develops and maintains tracking report for accounts proposed for write off and account referred to collection agency. Documents systemic issues impacting delinquency, risks and write off, and works with appropriate work groups to facilitate resolution. Develops and maintains Credit Office shared drive file systems. Assists with customer consolidation to ensure accuracy of active customer accounts according to their corporate structure. Generates month end aging reports. Responsible for the documentation of procedures in functional areas. Identifies and implements process improvements. Develops and implements work plans to achieve performance objectives. Reports weekly and monthly status, as required. Completes other tasks, as assigned. Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position. Job Requirement Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is desirable Credit and collections knowledge strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft programs include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook . Keyboard and number pad literacy associated with three years of experience in a business office and/or customer service; education may substitute for up to two years of experience. Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple task and priorities is required. Demonstrated analytical, business process and problem-solving experience is required.
